REINTERPRETASI TRADISI BARITAN SEBAGAI MEDIA PENDIDIKAN NILAI SYUKUR DI SDI MA'ARIF GARUM BLITAR

Abstract

This research examines the reinterpretation of Baritan tradition as a medium for gratitude value education at SDI Ma'arif Garum Blitar. The Baritan tradition is a communal ritual of Javanese society that contains expressions of gratitude to God Almighty for the harvest and sustenance obtained. The research method used is qualitative with ethnographic and phenomenological approaches. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the Baritan tradition can be integrated into learning at Islamic elementary schools as a medium for contextual and meaningful gratitude value cultivation. Through theologically responsible reinterpretation, this tradition is capable of fostering students' awareness of Allah's blessings, building a qana'ah attitude, and strengthening Islamic identity based on local wisdom. The implications of this research provide recommendations for the development of local culture-based curricula in Islamic elementary schools as efforts for holistic and contextualistic character education.
