IMPLEMENTASI METODE LEARNING TOGETHER DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA INTENSIF SISWA KELAS IV MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH JAMIYATUT THOLIBIN DARUNGAN KADEMANGAN BLITAR
Learning Together method (Group Discussion) is a way of presenting learning materials in which the teacher provides an opportunity for students (student groups) to conduct scientific debate in order to collect opinions, make conclusions and the various alternative solutions to a problem. In practice this method helps students understand a reading by groups. Each member of the group exchanged ideas with someone else, so that students actively in learning activities. The stages in the implementation of the method is the Learning Together Forming a group whose members are heterogeneous 3-4 people (mixed according to achievement, gender, ethnicity, etc.), the teacher presents the lesson to each group to learn, teachers give task for group to be worked by each member of the group, members who already understand can explain to other members until all members of the group really comes to understanding, give quizzes or questions to the students, the teacher evaluation, the conclusion of the study together.
Based on the review, the problems that arise are: (1) How does the planning process of learning with Learning Together method in improving reading skills in grade IV Intensive Elementary School of Jamiyatut Tholibin Darungan Kademangan Blitar? (2) How does the process of implementation of learning with Learning Together method in improving reading skills in grade IV Intensive Elementary School of Jamiyatut Tholibin Darungan Kademangan Blitar? (3) How does the valuation process of learning with the Learning Together method in improving reading skills in grade IV Intensive Elementary School of Jamiyatut Tholibin Darungan Kademangan Blitar?
To find solutions from these problems, the authors conducted the study using action research design (TOD). This classroom action research using qualitative approaches. With the method used is the method of learning together to improve students' reading skills intensive, especially on the subjects of Indonesian. From the research that has been implemented, overall it can be seen that the application of Learning Together method greatly assist students in improving reading skills in the subject of intensive Indonesian. It can be seen from the results of the final evaluation showed improvement in students' reading competencies and learning outcomes of students who experienced an increase in the activity of the pre-action increased by 55% with an average value of 65.87, the first cycle increased by 60% with a mean average value of 71.54, and a second cycle increased by 83% with an average value of 81.41.
