Abstract

Islamic religious education has an important role in the national education system. The learning process requires cooperation between the government and educators. Learning activities are important to shape the character and knowledge of students. The fun learning process is very influential on the success of PAI learning. However, in PAI class IV learning at SD Negeri 1 Ngrombot, some still use conventional methods and students have not shown a good response. Many students score below KKM for the PAI daily test. Therefore, research was conducted to improve the learning outcomes of PAI exemplary material of Wali Songo using the Team Game Tournament method. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Ngrombot, Nganjuk Regency, East Java. The TGT cooperative learning method is one type of cooperative learning that is easy to apply and involves the activities of all students without differences in status . The results showed that the TGT method can improve student achievement as well as student and teacher learning activities. Thus, the Team Game Tournament cooperative method is an effective alternative in improving student learning outcomes in PAI grade IV SDN 1 Ngrombot subjects.
