Pengembangan Media Wayang Karakter Dalam Pembelajaran Tematik Tentang Teks Fabel Untuk Kelas II Di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islam Gading Kecamatan Selopuro Kabupaten Blitar
Abstract
One of the language skills that must be possessed by students is listening material. Listening skills have a higher position than other language skills, because in listening skills a human can absorb a language so that it can be applied to communicate and is the basis for developing other language skills. Therefore, listening skills need to be fostered from an early age through elementary school education. Especially with the material understanding of fable texts, it is felt that students' listening comprehension is less than optimal. With such problems in the field, the researchers present the Puppet Character media in Thematic Learning About Fable Texts for Class II at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islam Gading, Selopuro District, Blitar Regency so that the learning objectives can be achieved optimally. Based on the review above, the problems that arise are; How is the development of character puppet media design in thematic learning about the skills of listening to fable texts in class II MI Islam Gading, Selopuro District, Blitar Regency?. How is the application of character puppet media to improve the skills of listening to fable texts in class II MI Islam Gading, Selopuro District, Blitar Regency?
In this study using research and development (research and development), Sugiyono argues that research and development methods are research methods used to produce certain products, and test the effectiveness of these products. From the results of the research that the researchers have carried out, it can be seen that the character puppet media can help students more easily understand fable texts. This is evidenced by the results of material expert validation showing the material with a final result of 88% with the criteria of "very good". The results of media expert validation showed that the media was very suitable by obtaining 94% results in the second stage with the "very good" criteria. While the trial experienced a significant increase, namely from the pre-test 65% to the post-test 90%. Based on the results of the description above, the product developed by the researcher, namely the puppet character media, is said to be very feasible to be used as a learning medium.
